Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-20

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of G's Storytime (the “Service”), provided by [REVIEW WITH COUNSEL: legal entity]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must be a parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you add, and you represent that you have the authority to consent to our collection of information about that child as described in our Privacy Policy and COPPA notice.

Children do not create accounts themselves. Child profiles are created and managed by the parent or guardian.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email, password, and parent PIN) and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. The free tier

We offer a free tier with no trial, no credit card requirement, and no expiration date. The free tier includes the core reading experience described on our home page, and we intend to keep it free as a matter of mission. We reserve the right to revise the feature set at any time, including moving features between free and paid tiers, with reasonable notice to active accounts.

5. Credits and paid features

Some features (e.g., family voice cloning, comprehension assessments, bilingual narration) require credits purchased as in-app consumables. Unless required by law or explicitly stated at the time of purchase, credits are non-refundable once redeemed, have no cash value, and do not expire while your account remains active.

[REVIEW WITH COUNSEL: refund policy specifics, including state-law minimums (e.g., California Business & Professions Code), App Store / Play Store refund flow, and any EU statutory withdrawal rights.]

If you purchase credits through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, that store's payment terms and refund policies also apply to your purchase.

6. Content

Our content

Stories, illustrations, character designs, badges, reading companion (DigiPet) imagery, and the G's Storytime name and logo are owned by us or licensed to us. You and your family receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access this content for personal, non-commercial use while your account is active.

Your content

If you submit a voice recording for family voice cloning, you retain ownership of the recording. You grant us a limited license to use it solely to generate narrated audio within your family account while voice cloning is enabled. If you disable voice cloning or delete your account, we will stop using it for new narration and request deletion of the derived voice model from our third-party provider.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attempt to access another user's account.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or programmatically extract the Service's stories or audio.
  • Upload another person's voice without their explicit consent, and never a minor's voice except your own child with your consent as guardian.
  • Attempt to bypass the session timers, age settings, or parental controls we provide.
  • Use the Service to harass, harm, or impersonate others.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the Service or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service, other users, or children using the Service.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Reading progress, comprehension scores, and fluency benchmarks shown in the Service are informational and are not a substitute for formal educational or developmental assessment by a qualified professional.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [REVIEW WITH COUNSEL: legal entity] SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF [REVIEW WITH COUNSEL: $USD amount, e.g., $100] OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

[REVIEW WITH COUNSEL: indemnification clause with scope appropriate for a consumer B2C product; standard indemnification against user misuse, third-party claims arising from user-supplied content, and breach of these Terms.]

12. Dispute resolution and governing law

[REVIEW WITH COUNSEL: choice-of-law, jurisdiction and venue, arbitration agreement, class-action waiver, opt-out procedure, jury-trial waiver, and small-claims carve-out. Note that arbitration clauses in consumer terms are subject to state-level scrutiny (especially California, Massachusetts, New Jersey); do not include without advice.]

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify active account holders by email.

14. Contact
